| CHAMPIONS LEAGUE X
| |
15 April 2007
Golden Boyz, were the Golden team as they captured the Champions League crown after a 1.0 win over polish side Yakuza in the final. Both teams gave committed performances throughout the evening as one by one the other fancied teams fell by the wayside. The A team and Cosmosis were the unlucky semi-finalists as the heat was turned up, whilst strongly fancied Orton Albion and Hobsons went out at the quarter final stage and they went home with dignity taking defeat on the chin. Golden Boyz will now represent RWT at the UK and Ireland Corporate games to be held this year in Sheffield.
A dvd of the event has been produced and is now available for £10 with the proceeds being donated to Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall. The gate money £40 will also be donated to Sue Ryder. |
| Teams messing us about
| |
10 April 2007
| Recently we have had teams especially on a Wednesday night who either failed to play but did let us know, or failed to show and did not let us know. On one of the nights, because a team did not show they were left with a £72 bill after we could not find games for their opponents. Give us as much notice as possible and we will try and help, we would like to think that teams will also be flexible by playing an extra game at short notice, we understand however that this is not always possible There are also some teams who think they can rearrange the fixtures to suit themselves on the night, they even try and manipilate opposing sides which causes knock on problems. We do the fixtures if you have a problem speak to us first. |
| Abuse to staff
| |
10 April 2007
| It has recently come to our attention that three teams have been abusive or have been aggressive and intimidating to our standin administrators. This is not acceptable, they carry out the rules as you are all aware off, if you have an issue then speak to Robert not take it out on the staff. Disciplinary action is now being considered against the three teams which may result in points deductions and or possible removal from the leagues. We would rather lose a team or teams than lose our staff. Be warned that the staff have been given instruction that if they feel intimidated or threatened that the police will also be called. |
